Tiffany Colaco has been involved in a broad spectrum of extra-curricular activities within her high school, Loyola Catholic Secondary School, and within the community, putting into practice her goal of making a difference. She was a dynamic member of her high school's graduation committee where she organized a wonderful graduation. She also participated in many high school outreach projects such as a fundraising campaign to build a school in India, raising money and awareness of literacy rates and poverty in India among members of her school community. In her local community, Tiffany made visits to Carmel Heights Old Aged Home regularly where she provided entertainment and recreational activities. She was also involved in organizing the Canadian Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" in the spring of 2005. Tiffany has a great love for teaching and has put her interest to practice as a tutor for students with English as a second language. She was also an assistant supervisor for the Peel Learning After School Program for children ages 6-12 years. The Goan Overseas Association is proud to present the 2005 Victor Abreu Award to such a deserving candidate who has actively contributed toward the betterment of her school and community.
