ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING
Pursuant to Rule 15 (a) of the Goan Overseas Association Constitution, members are hereby notified that the Annual General Body Meeting of the Association will be held on Sunday April 25, 2010 at the Eatonville Library Community Room, (430 Burnhamthorpe Road at the East Mall) Etobicoke.
Registration Starts at 2:00 p.m. The Meeting will commence at 2:30 Sharp.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Body Meeting of the Goan Charitable Organization will be held at the Eatonville Library Community Room (430 Burnhamthorpe Road at the East Mall), Etobicoke, on Sunday April 25, 2010. The meeting of the G.C.O. will commence upon the completion of the Annual General Body Meeting of the Goan Overseas Association.

Background:
The social events organized by the GOA Retirees and Friends Committee have been very successful and there has been several inquiries from Non Members to join or rejoin the GOA which is encouraging.
Finally the GOA has a vehicle for reaching out to the Seniors’ within our Community and the proposal below should assist the Association to welcome new members, which could also draw in their families to the Ordinary Membership ranks. The proposed membership fee is in line with current Seniors’ memberships.
Proposal
This proposal is aimed at new Patron members who have not previously been members of the GOA and for those who were previously members. This proposal in accordance with the Constitution Sect 17(a),
PATRON MEMBER- Any Goan, 65 years or over, having been a member of the Association, in good standing, for a period of not less than five(5) years, shall be eligible for admission as a Patron Member. He shall have full voting rights.
NEW PATRON MEMBERS – NOT PREVIOUSLY MEMBERS.
