The Villagers of Calangute joined together on July 18th, 2010 to celebrate the Feast of Patron Saint Alex.
Main Celebrant, His Excellency, The Most Reverend Alex Dias, SFX, Bishop of Port Blair (Son of Calangute who travelled all the way from India) celebrated Holy Eucharist along with Fr.Vincent Rathapilly V.C., a Vincentian Missionary from India at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Mississauga, Canada at Noon
The President, Antonio Mascarenhas at short notice, arranged get together to meet and greet the Bishop, a reception at the Goan Restaurant – Galaxy Restaurant featuring authentic Goan cuisine a Luncheon Buffet and everyone enjoyed the delicious Goan food.
All had a wonderful time and look forward to another successful event next year.
