Bishop Alex Dias Visits Toronto to Celebrate the Mass of St. Alex at the Calangute Social, July 19, 2009

Alex Dias is the First Bishop of Port Blair, Andamns, India and belongs to Pilar Society, Goa. This year, he is celebrating the Silver Jubilee (25 Years) of his Episcopal Consecration.  Bishop Alex Dias visited Toronto in July 2005, soon after the Tsunami in Andamans Islands. Goans were amazed and impressed at his simplicity, gentleness and humility, despite his knowledge and education (he speaks 7 languages German, Italian, Portuguese, Concanni, Hindi etc).

Most Rev. Bishop Alex Dias will be the main celebrant at the Holy Mass celebrating the Feast of St. Alex at the Calangute Social on July 19, 2009.  The collection at the Mass and donations one may wish to make will go to Bishop Alex Dias, Diocese of Andaman's & Nicobar Islands.
