Summer Will be Exciting!

As we move into summer, you will see various events in the upcoming months being hosted by the G.O.A. and we encourage all to browse our website regularly for details.  We start of this weekend on Sunday, June 14, with an event for the kids and their families where the kids will enjoy a Pokemon/Chaotic tournament, Wii games, crafts and much more.  Not too far off, is the Health and Wellness Session which is scheduled for July 3 and being held  in association with the 55West PGA Inc.  This sessions promises to be of interest to all adults.  A similar session done last year was very well received.

It is around this time of year that we all look forward to attending the Viva Goa event in its entire traditional format of culture, entertainment and sport.  As mentioned at the AGM in April 2009, we will not be hosting Viva Goa this year as a suitable venue both from a cost and hosting perspective, has not been found.  Much as this may be a disappointment to all, the sporting component will proceed as we host a soccer tournament of broader scope featuring a tournament with South Asian challenge, and a volleyball tournament on July 24/25th.

August starts of with the G.O.A. Golf tournament being hosted on August 8.    G.O.A.'s participation at the India Day Celebrations in conjunction with Panorama takes place on August 9 and we invite you all to be part of this day.  A boat cruise is being scheduled for August 14.    World Goa Day will be held once again this year at Coronation Park on August 15 and we encourage all .   But it does not end there - still more to come - with a teen soccer tournament to be held in September.  Browse our website for details and feel free to let family and friends know of these events.
