A letter from Tony Colaco, General Seceretary (World Alliance of Goan Overseas Associations)

Dear Shri Faleiro,

On behalf of the World Alliance of Goan Overseas Association (WAGOA), I would like to congratulate you and your dedicated team for the leadership in taking some small but important key initiatives to the next level which I believe will be the catalyst in mobilising the great potential of Goans in Goa and worldwide for the benefit of Goa and Goans.

In particular, I would like to commend you on the initiative to meet and discuss issues facing NRG’s regularly with representatives of various countries. This is the first step in understanding the change we are seeking and the contribution we all can bring as a strong and united worldwide Goan community.

In this regard, we would like to nominate Shri Antonio Mascarenhas as the official representative of WAGOA in Goa. In addition, Antonio will also represent the World Alliance of Village Associations of Canada.

Further, I commend you on appointing Shri Rene Barreto as the NRI Advisor - Global Advisor. Rene as the founder of the World Goa Day and the WAGOA will add great value to the role and his passion for everything Goan is profound and contagious.
