Dantas” Francis Xavier “Frank” Of Owen Sound in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Stella Dantas (nee Mascarenhas), passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at G.B.H.S. Owen Sound. Dear father of Pauline of Branford, Connecticut, Sean and his wife Claudette of Chatham, Jason and his wife Teresa and Michael all of Owen Sound. Proud grandpa of Jayna, Noah and Max. Francis is survived by his sisters Lena Mascarenhas of Brampton, Annie D’Souza of Mississauga and Gracie Cordeiro of Kent, England, his brothers Adolf of Goa, India and Tony and his wife Lyn of London, England. Also survived by his sisters in law Fila and Edvira Dantas, Celine Sequeria and her husband Leslie of New Minas, Nova Scotia, a brother in law Greg Mascarenhas of Goa, India and many nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by his brothers Lino and Marcus, brothers in law Armand Mascarenhas, Bento D’Souza and Basil Cordeiro. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with Father Dave Reilander officiating.
