It is with much sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Maria Melvida Dias who passed away on August 9th, 2010 at Credit Valley Hospital. Beloved mother of Josie Carrasco and her husband Terry, Francisco Dias, Cecilia Joanes, Filu (Tina) and her husband AC Pereira . Devoted grandmother to June Dias-Simpson and her husband Shawn, Anouska and Jonathan Joanes, Aaron Dias, Abigail and Austin Pereira. Loving great-grandmother to Jaden Simpson.

Maria dedicated herself to her family, friends and the church. She will be remembered for her loving kindness and her strong spirit. She was a precious gift to us all and she will be greatly missed.

Friends are welcome to visit with the family at Andrew’s Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton (Dixie/Orenda) on Thursday August 12^th, 2010 between 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
