Joyce de Mendonça (neé Dias) July 24, 1928 - December 24, 2006 Joyce de Mendonça (neé Dias), passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006 at approximately 7:30 a.m. EST in London, England with family present. Joyce was the beloved sister of Emma Gama-Pinto, long time resident of North York, now living in Ottawa. Joyce is pre-deceased by her husband, Tomé (October 2003), also of London, England, and her brother, Douglas Dias (January 2004), of Scarborough.Â
Joyce struggled with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for the last 4 years of her life when the late stages of the disease required her care be transferred to a private facility. Her son, Dr. Preston de Mendonça, identified her condition as PSP in 2003/04.

We have asked the PSP Association to send a card to the family (Joyce's son's: André, Preston, Morel and Rudolf) indicating that a donation has been made in their mother's name.
