Olga Winnie Theresa Pires – Born in Morogorro, Tanzania. Lived in
Tanga, Tanzania, Bandra, India and in Toronto since 1967. On January
14, 2007 in her 80th year she passed away peacefully. Loving wife of
Alfred Pires and devoted mother of her four sons and their wives:
Ashley & Shirley, Alan & Levita, Audie & Safira and Christopher &
Louella. Grandmother of Lisa-Marie, Richard, Lauren, Rochelle, Scott
and Copper, the beagle. Loving sister to Alzira and Ino, sister-in-
law to Adolph, Ricky, Bella and Rita. She was an inspiration to
every life she touched. She worked as a teacher for 15 years, but
continued to motivate and guide by example throughout the rest of
her life. Olga was a woman of strength and compassion. Despite her
many years of illness and pain, she always put the needs of others
above her own. The most important lesson she passed on to us all is
that there is more joy in giving than receiving. She will be
terribly missed but we know our Angel is dancing in Heaven now.
